Senior Buyer - Electronics (Chinese Speaking)

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement Management: Release purchase orders at the right timing, obtain delivery confirmations from suppliers, and maintain accurate data in the computer system.
• Expediting & Scheduling: Follow up and expedite material deliveries to support production requirements. Reschedule or cancel purchase orders based on Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) and provide feedback if delivery schedules cannot be met.
• Discrepancy & Returns: Resolve discrepancies in shipment quantities and pricing, manage Return-to-Vendor (RTV) processes for rejected materials, and follow up on Credit Notes.
• Supplier & Material Management: Coordinate the phase-in of new parts and phase-out of old parts. Perform supplier ratings (quality, delivery, flexibility, and service) and coordinate the VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) program.
• Cost & Problem Solving: Track and improve material purchase price variance (PPV). Propose alternative materials to resolve shortages and identify alternative solutions to operational challenges.
• Leadership & Support: Oversee and mentor Junior Buyers, ensuring adherence to procedures. Assist management in project planning, reporting, and strategy execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills, paired with excellent communication and relationship management capabilities.
• Good in Chinese Speaking (HSK 5) and English Speaking.
