Creative Design Director - Spatial Experiences

Position: Creative Design Direcotr
Location: BKK, Thailand

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the creative quality of all projects, ensuring design excellence
throughout all phases.
- Act as the main client liaison, developing meaningful, transparent relationships
and aligning their goals with the creative vision.
- Promote an environment that embraces diverse ideas and collaborative efforts
to achieve innovative outcomes.
- Establish clear, compelling design concepts and guide the team to execute the
overarching creative vision.
- Provide direction and support to ensure seamless integration of content and
spatial elements within projects.
- Lead project teams through brainstorming, development, and execution phases,
ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
- Mentor the team and cultivate a culture of continuous learning and professional
growth.
- Advocate for sustainable, thoughtful design that meets current and future needs.
- Represent SM Connect in the broader design community through thought
leadership and engagement in industry events.

Requirement:
- 10+ years in creative leadership within experiential, spatial, and/or architectural
design.
- Proven expertise in leading and inspiring creative teams, with a strong track
record of delivering impactful design projects.
- Mastery of 3D design software such as SketchUp, Rhino, 3ds Max, and Revit.
- An exceptional portfolio showcasing innovative work across Exhibitions, Retail,
Hospitality, and/or Theme Park sectors.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams and foster a
collaborative, creative environment.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, capable of presenting ideas
and building trust.
- Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on approach to ensuring project
vision is realised at every stage.
- A commitment to sustainable and forward-thinking design practices that
anticipate future trends and needs.
