Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, provide guidance and support to influence line management in Process Safety Management (PSM), HSE risk management, loss prevention, and fire prevention/protection systems.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable international standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce accidents, incidents, and potential losses.
  • Foster a strong safety culture to mitigate operational risks and improve overall reliability.
  • Strengthen team morale and collaboration through effective coaching, training, motivation, and professional guidance.
  • Ensure all activities are executed in accordance with high professional standards and industry best practices.

Qualification

  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Loss Prevention Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, practice-oriented experience in process safety or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of process safety regulations, process design legislation, and international safety standards.
  • Proven experience in refinery and petrochemical process safety, including process design and construction safety management.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with risk assessment methodologies such as Bow Tie, HAZOP, What-If Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, and Event Tree Analysis.
  • Demonstrated proactive mindset with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Strategic and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to execute plans and follow through to completion.
  • Strong influencing skills, capable of gaining alignment, acceptance, and commitment from stakeholders toward shared safety objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and motivate individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational and technical writing skills to effectively track, document, and report PSM program progress.
  • Proven leadership qualities, strong initiative, teamwork mindset, and high attention to quality and detail.
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
