Supply Chain Manager (Retail Manufacturing)
Job Description:
- Lead, encourage, and build a team of Thailand-based demand and supply planners, raw material purchasers, the logistics department, and customer service representatives.
- Collaborate with owned and outsourced operations teams to ensure that planning and order fulfillment needs are satisfied within scheduled order timeframes.
- Manage production planning: coordinate forecasts with the leadership team, create demand and supply plans, compare actual purchase orders to plans, and communicate with all relevant parties.
- Clearly communicate business risks to senior management, including viable remedies and financial implications.
- Work with Manufacturing Operations to develop a worldwide long-term capacity requirements strategy. (Excellent at developing a strategic sourcing plan.)
- Assess and report on manufacturing capacity, delivery performance, shipment quality, and inventory objectives.
- Responsible for all activities related to raw material and finished goods management, from demand and supply forecasts to delivery to customers at specified destinations.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the customer's logistical and operational planning to ensure improved alignment.
- Plan important spending items, such as airfreight, to improve customer service while reducing incremental costs.
- Collaborate with Finance to create, manage, and report on departmental budgets.
- Manage and collaborate closely with planners to guarantee that factories produce high-quality items, deliver on schedule, and track all KPIs. (Optimize product flow through the supply chain.)
- Develop and maintain supportive connections with customers, suppliers, and internal partners.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supply chain management role.
- Proven experience in leading and motivating a team, including demand and supply planners, raw material purchasers, logistics personnel, and customer service staff.
- Strong understanding of forecasting, demand planning, and supply planning principles.
- Experience in capacity planning, production planning, and inventory management.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement cost-saving solutions for the supply chain.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment.
- Understanding of international trade practices and logistics (a plus).
- Experience working in Southeast Asia is a strong asset.
- Fluency in English.
