Maintenance Technician (Plastic Compounding)

Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be crucial in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our production machinery and facility. Your key responsibilities will include

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment, including extruders, mixers, pelletizers, material handling systems, and ancillary equipment.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implementing effective repair solutions.
• Troubleshooting and repairing control systems, including PLCs, sensors, and actuators.
• Conducting routine inspections and maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities.
• Collaborating with the production team to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Identifying and recommending improvements to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the plastic, chemical, or similar processing industries.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Flexibility to work in shifts or respond to emergency calls as needed.
• Relevant technical certification or vocational training is highly preferred.
