Business Development Manager - Life Sciences
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biotechnology and a proven track record in sales or business development within the life sciences industry. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and closing business opportunities with key accounts and strategic partners.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities, analyze market trends, and understand customer needs within the life sciences sector.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to acquire new customers, including prospecting, cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry influencers.
- Manage and track the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and effective communication with prospects and customers.
- Conduct successful negotiations with customers to close deals and achieve sales targets.
- Develop a deep understanding of our life sciences product portfolio, including their applications, benefits, and competitive advantages.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product development, research and development) to ensure alignment and support sales efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in sales or business development within the life sciences industry.
- Proven track record of successfully achieving sales targets and building strong customer relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented.
- Ability to travel as needed.
