Key Account Manager (Logistics)

 Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting and choosing drivers; negotiating contracts and prices.
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with all logistics processes, enter business deals, sign contracts, negotiate rates with transportation and logistics service providers, and monitor services to ensure optimal service delivery and cost.
  • Negotiating favorable contractual terms and conditions with truckers, as well as managing their designated relationships.
  • Delivering cost reduction commitments by identifying, developing, and implementing strategic sourcing projects.
  • Going on site visits for the truck inspection and visiting the trucker facilities to verify them as new sources and help with problem solving.
  • Creating, putting into operation, and upholding standard operating procedures and conducting frequent evaluations to guarantee their applicability, conformity with best practices, and observance of both internal and external policies.
  • Motivate optimization to guarantee cost-effective procurement.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments on important projects to provide superior procurement solutions.
  • Finding and hiring new suppliers and drivers

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience in logistics/supply chain, or equivalent.
  • Good communication skills and responsibility for work are required.
  • Strong contract negotiating and supplier management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze data via business strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication abilities.
