Responsibilities
- Coordinate and drive design improvement initiatives with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Support agency and regulatory requirements by performing compliance testing and participating in periodic audits.
- Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, serviceability, and installation throughout the development process by gathering cross-functional input and personally validating product suitability.
- Create concept sketches, detailed drawings, 3D design models, and technical specification documents.
- Collaborate closely with quality, service, and production teams to ensure effective design implementation.
- Prepare root cause analysis, performance test results, project schedules, and cost-related information as required.
- Assist in the assembly and evaluation of functional prototypes.
- Facilitate the setup of service parts, new kits, and accessories to ensure readiness at product launch.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in technical design, with knowledge and hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, including sheet metal modeling.
- Knowledge of prototyping methods and the ability to assess supplier capabilities.
- Understanding of standard fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to interpret and produce technical documentation accurately.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
