Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and drive design improvement initiatives with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Support agency and regulatory requirements by performing compliance testing and participating in periodic audits.
  • Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, serviceability, and installation throughout the development process by gathering cross-functional input and personally validating product suitability.
  • Create concept sketches, detailed drawings, 3D design models, and technical specification documents.
  • Collaborate closely with quality, service, and production teams to ensure effective design implementation.
  • Prepare root cause analysis, performance test results, project schedules, and cost-related information as required.
  • Assist in the assembly and evaluation of functional prototypes.
  • Facilitate the setup of service parts, new kits, and accessories to ensure readiness at product launch.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in technical design, with knowledge and hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, including sheet metal modeling.
  • Knowledge of prototyping methods and the ability to assess supplier capabilities.
  • Understanding of standard fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to interpret and produce technical documentation accurately.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
