Financial Controller (Freight Forwarding)

Job Summary:
       We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to lead and oversee all financial and accounting functions within a Freight Forwarding business. The successful candidate will act as a strategic partner to the Managing Director, ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, and long-term business sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and control all accounting and financial operations to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with local regulations and statutory requirements.
- Partner with the Managing Director to drive financial performance and strategic business decisions.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure smooth audit processes.
- Supervise tax matters, including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, WHT, and coordinate with tax authorities.
- Monitor overall financial health, identify potential risks, and provide proactive financial advice.
- Serve as an early warning mechanism for financial risks and protect minority interests where applicable.
- Strengthen finance and accounting standards, internal controls, and team development initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Over 15 years of experience in Accounting & Finance, preferably within Freight Forwarding or Logistics businesses.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior accounting/finance leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Excellent command of English (comfortable participating in meetings and coordinating with international stakeholders).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professional ethics.
