The Opportunity

Join a dynamic, global leader in the pet food industry as they expand their footprint in Thailand. As the Accounting Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in the greenfield setup of a brand-new manufacturing facility. This is a high-impact position designed for a finance professional who excels in establishing robust accounting frameworks, managing complex manufacturing costs, and ensuring total compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • End-to-End Closing: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy in journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Compliance & Standards: Manage statutory and management reporting in strict accordance with IFRS and Thai GAAP.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisitions, depreciation, disposals, and impairment testing.
  • Liaison & Audit: Act as the primary contact for external auditors and government authorities (Revenue Department, DBD, etc.).

Costing & Inventory Control

  • Cost Accounting Ownership: Manage product costing, inventory valuation, and COGS analysis to provide deep insights into manufacturing efficiency.
  • Operational Alignment: Partner with Warehouse and Production teams to reconcile physical stock vs. system records and investigate root causes of discrepancies.
  • Variance Analysis: Identify and communicate cost variances to drive transparency and operational improvements.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

  • Tax Administration: Oversee all tax submissions (VAT, WHT, CIT) and ensure compliance with BOI and non-BOI regulations.
  • Reporting: Facilitate the submission of all required documentation to the Department of Business Development (DBD) and other regulatory bodies.

Candidate Profile

  • Thai national only
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPD/CPA is an advantage).
  • Experience: * Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance (Food/FMCG industry strongly preferred).

    • At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Technical Skills: * Strong expertise in Thai Tax Law, VAT, and Financial Closing.

    • Direct experience with BOI reporting and regulations.
    • Proficiency in SAP (highly preferred) and advanced MS Excel.
  • Competencies: * Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

    • A "builder" mindset—comfortable with the ambiguity and pressure of a new plant setup.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to liaise effectively with government departments.
