We are seeking a high-energy, strategic, and resource-rich General Manager to spearhead our expansion into the Thailand market. As the foundational leader for our Thailand branch, you will be responsible for everything from initial setup and team building to securing critical local partnerships and hitting aggressive growth targets.
This role requires a rare blend of entrepreneurial grit and operational expertise in international freight forwarding and last-mile logistics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Branch Setup & Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end setup of the Thailand branch, including legal compliance, office infrastructure, and organizational design.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing local team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Implement corporate strategy and ensure the branch aligns with global expansion goals.
2. Business Operations & Market Expansion
- Drive regional market development by identifying new business opportunities and managing key client relationships.
- Develop and maintain robust channels with shipping lines, airlines, and port authorities.
- Optimize end-to-end logistics processes to ensure competitive pricing and service reliability.
3. Resource & Performance Management
- Leverage and manage local resources, including customs clearance, trucking, and last-mile delivery networks.
- Submit comprehensive operational and financial reports to HQ, ensuring transparency in branch performance.
- Achieve or exceed KPIs related to revenue, market share, and operational efficiency.
4. Intelligence & Optimization
- Conduct deep-dive analysis into the Thailand logistics landscape, monitoring competitor moves and regulatory changes.
- Propose process improvements to HQ to enhance regional competitiveness.
Mandatory Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
- Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years in international freight forwarding, shipping, or air cargo, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Local Expertise: Must possess established Thailand local resources, specifically in:
- Customs clearance agencies.
- Trucking and depot management.
- Last-mile delivery networks.
- Demographics: Candidates must be under 40 years old (as per current organizational structure planning).
- Network: An existing portfolio of Thailand-based key clients, shipping agents, and customs brokers.
- Technical Knowledge: Expert-level understanding of end-to-end last-mile delivery processes within Thailand.
- Language: Native or professional fluency in Chinese and English (Required).
