Plating Manager - Jewelry Manufacturing (able to relocate)

Job Description: 

• Oversee all electroplating and surface finishing processes for high-end jewelry (gold, silver, rhodium, platinum, etc.).
• Use strong chemical knowledge to mix solutions, monitor bath chemistry, fix plating defects (discoloration, peeling, uneven color), and manage precious metal recovery.
• Improve plating technology, automation, and green chemistry practices.
• Manage a large team of 100+ employees across the main plant and sub-departments.
• Set and track KPIs for productivity, quality yield, chemical usage, and delivery deadlines.
• Enforce shop-floor standards (Lean, 5S, safety rules) and train/mentor the team.
• Ensure all jewelry meets international standards (plating thickness, color consistency, durability, and nickel release).
• Oversee the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) and follow environmental, health, safety (EHS), and chemical safety laws.
• Work with R&D, Production, and QC to review new designs, test plating feasibility, and solve surface issues.

Qualifications: 

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of hands-on experience in electroplating or surface treatment, with at least 5 years in a management role within jewelry manufacturing.
• Hard Skills: Exceptional, robust chemical expertise and direct experience managing large-scale operations (100+ staff).
• Soft Skills: Fluent in English for interacting with international clients, global stakeholders, and management; strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
