Ductwork Project Shipment Coordinator

 Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Logistics Coordination:

Manage the shipment and transportation of materials for ductwork projects, both locally and internationally, coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and customs agents to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.

Documentation and Compliance:

Prepare and manage accurate shipping documents, and work with internal teams to verify invoices, resolve discrepancies, and maintain records for audits.

Inventory Management:

Coordinate with warehouses for the receipt and storage of shipments, monitor inventory levels, and implement control measures to optimize stock and prevent shortages.

Communication and Coordination:

Act as the main contact for shipping inquiries, ensuring effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues and align shipment schedules with project timelines.

Quality Assurance and Improvement:

Perform quality checks on shipments, identify process improvement opportunities, and implement solutions to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Business Administration; relevant experience in logistics coordination may substitute for formal education.
  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, shipping coordination, or supply chain management, preferably within the construction, manufacturing, or process exhaust ductwork industry. Highly experienced candidate will be considered for senior position.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems for tracking shipments, managing inventory, and generating reports.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships
