Procurement Executive

 Job Description:

  • Coordinate procurement procedures for food products and ingredients, from supplier identification to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate product quality, pricing, and delivery terms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure alignment of procurement activities with organisational goals and budgets
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and proactively address any issues or concerns that may arise
  • Monitor and track supplier performance, including delivery schedules, quality, and compliance with contractual terms
  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimise cost savings and improve operational procedures
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards in the food industry
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier information

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields
  • Proven 3 (Three) years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the food industry
  • Strong knowledge of food products, ingredients, and supply chain dynamics within the food industry
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, including sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
  • Ability to analyse market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for data analysis, reporting, and tracking
  • Knowledge of relevant food safety and quality assurance standards and regulations
