Production Improvement Manager

  • Ensure that production activities run smoothly, in accordance with existing procedures.
  • In the event of procedural changes or new procedures, be able to socialize them to relevant parties, monitor their progress, and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of such procedural changes.
  • Create weekly reports to management regarding issues and problems affecting production activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess production processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose corrective actions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance and initiate measures for improvement when necessary.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize production efficiency and ensure consistent product quality.
  • Train and mentor production staff to enhance their skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the production area.
  • Manage and optimize the utilization of production resources, including materials, equipment, and manpower.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to incorporate best practices into the production processes.

Requirements:

  • Diploma degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production management or a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management system and experience in its implementation.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate the production team.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address issues proactively and find innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and MS Office tools.
  • Willingness to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced production environment.
  • Knowledge of automotive spare parts industry regulations and compliance standards.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English (and other languages, if applicable, based on the location and requirements of the production facility).
