Position Overview:
our client, automotive spare parts manufacturing, We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual as the General Manager of Manufacturing. successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing process, ensuring operational efficiency, product quality, and adherence to industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the manufacturing strategy aligned with overall business goals.
- Provide visionary leadership to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
- Implement and maintain best practices in manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Recruit, train, and develop manufacturing staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain rigorous quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives to meet or exceed industry standards.
Supply Chain and Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to optimize material sourcing and procurement processes.
- Ensure efficient inventory management to meet production demands while minimizing waste.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost-control measures to achieve financial targets.
Technology and Innovation:
- Stay abreast of technological advancements in manufacturing processes.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and implement new technologies to enhance efficiency.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, such as R&D, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on manufacturing performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (15 years) in a manufacturing leadership role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Demonstrated success in implementing lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to drive operational excellence.
