GM - Strategic Planner (Beverage Company

 Job Description:

We are currently looking for someone to be placed in a Conglomerate - Heritage company that has their brand being placed as the top tier performer in the Beverage industry of the FMCG segmentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the company's beverage business, in alignment with the overall corporate strategy
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities, market trends, and customer needs
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute business plans, marketing campaigns, and product innovations that drive revenue growth and market share gains
  • Monitor industry and regulatory trends, and assess their potential impact on the company's business and operations
  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures to expand the company's product portfolio and geographic reach
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across functions, including sales, finance, operations, and R&D, to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, distributors, and industry associations
  • Manage the strategic planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on key performance indicators
  • Communicate the company's strategic direction and progress to internal and external stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, and employees

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or marketing, with a focus on the beverage industry or related consumer goods sectors
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and market trends into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, or other strategic partnerships is a plus
  • Knowledge of the beverage industry, including consumer trends, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a track record of delivering business growth and achieving targets
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
