Position Summary: As the Purchasing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our organization by overseeing the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing our supply chain operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability of products, control costs, and contribute to our company's overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
  • Forecast demand for products and ensure timely procurement to meet customer demand.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with the inventory and logistics teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce carrying costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards in procurement and sourcing activities.
  • Continuously improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role within the retail industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management principles.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
