Branch Manager

 Job Description:

As a Branch Manager  you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our branch Johor Bahru. You will play a critical role in leading a team of professionals, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the branch's overall profitability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Leadership:
    • Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including import/export processes, customs clearance, warehousing, and transportation services.
    • Develop and implement efficient operational processes to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
  2. Team Management:
    • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of freight forwarding professionals.
    • Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing feedback to support employee development.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement.
  3. Client Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the branch's client portfolio.
    • Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction, striving to exceed client expectations.
  4. Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage the branch budget, monitoring expenses and revenue to achieve profitability targets.
    • Implement cost-effective measures and strategies to improve financial performance.
    • Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
  5. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure that the branch adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
    • Promote a culture of operational excellence and responsible work practices within the branch.
  6. Market Analysis and Strategy:
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
    • Contribute to the development and execution of the branch's strategic plans and growth initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in freight forwarding and logistics, with a track record of successful leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of the Malaysian logistics and transportation market.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using logistics and supply chain management software.
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and international trade practices.
  • Fluency in English and Malay; additional languages are a plus.
