Branch Manager
Job Description:
As a Branch Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our branch Johor Bahru. You will play a critical role in leading a team of professionals, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the branch's overall profitability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership:
- Oversee all aspects of branch operations, including import/export processes, customs clearance, warehousing, and transportation services.
- Develop and implement efficient operational processes to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of freight forwarding professionals.
- Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing feedback to support employee development.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and employee engagement.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the branch's client portfolio.
- Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction, striving to exceed client expectations.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the branch budget, monitoring expenses and revenue to achieve profitability targets.
- Implement cost-effective measures and strategies to improve financial performance.
- Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that the branch adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Promote a culture of operational excellence and responsible work practices within the branch.
- Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the branch's strategic plans and growth initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience (5+ years) in freight forwarding and logistics, with a track record of successful leadership.
- Strong knowledge of the Malaysian logistics and transportation market.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using logistics and supply chain management software.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Results-oriented with a focus on achieving targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Familiarity with customs regulations and international trade practices.
- Fluency in English and Malay; additional languages are a plus.
