Graphic Designer Junior

 Job Description:

Our client located in uMhlanga, South Africa is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to join our creative team in the fast-paced online betting and gambling industry. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their design skills while contributing to impactful marketing campaigns across digital and print platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Creative Execution
  • Assist in the creation of marketing materials including posters, flyers, merchandise, and signage.
  • Contribute to conceptual brainstorms and adapt approved artwork for various platforms.
  • Update adverts on the website and betting displays.
  • Design layouts and prepare final artwork for publishing and printing.
  • Deep etch images in Photoshop and prepare rough layouts for approval.
  • Solely responsible for specific design outputs such as the Game On Soccer pocket guide and Lucky Numbers Results sheet.
  • Support weekly page designs for SBN and other ad hoc tasks.
  • Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with marketing teams and branch managers to understand design needs.
  • Ensure all designs align with brand strategy and marketing objectives.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all work is saved logically and backed up chronologically.
  • Deliver error-free designs that are inclusive and free from bias or defamatory content.
  • Innovation & Growth
  • Support product innovation and contribute to new service offerings.
  • Assist in sourcing new customers through engaging design work.

Qualifications & Experience

Advantageous:

  • National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design

Essential Skills:

  • Basic graphic design skills
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and desktop publishing tools
  • Strong layout and typography understanding
