Project Manager/Project Coordinator
Job Description:
We Are Hiring: Project Manager / Project Coordinator (Electronics Background)
Location: Potchefstroom
CTC: R504,000 per annum
Contract: Until 31 December 2026
Start Date: As soon as possible
We are looking for a skilled and driven Project Manager / Project Coordinator with a strong electronics background to lead and oversee installation-focused projects.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will plan, budget, tender, and manage projects primarily focused on full installations of electronic and audio-visual systems. A strong technical understanding of electronics is essential.
Projects may also include supporting services such as:
Electrical
Civil works
Painting
Aluminium and glass
Flooring / tiling
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience coordinating and leading electronics or AV installation projects
Proven experience managing projects from:
– Planning
– Budgeting
– Tendering and awarding
– Contractor site initiation
– Supervision and troubleshooting
– Final completion
Strong ability to work independently and take ownership
Proactive problem-solver who escalates risks appropriately
Ability to think on your feet in dynamic site environments
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Willingness to divide time between office-based administration and on-site supervision
Must reside in Potchefstroom
Ability to learn and adapt to new project management software (PPO knowledge advantageous)
Technical Background (Essential)
Hands-on installation experience in electronics-based systems, such as:
Access control
CCTV
Audio-visual systems
Fire or burglar alarms
Related low-voltage systems
Contractor & Site Management Experience
Managing contractors and subcontractors
Strong coordination and oversight
Quality control of on-site work
Advantageous Experience
Project scheduling, progress tracking and reporting
Managing multiple projects (up to 60 simultaneously)
Project values ranging from R100,000 to R1.5 million+
Full site supervision (A–Z), including:
– Site establishment
– Coordinating multiple installation teams
– Resolving site issues
– Ensuring compliance with scope, budget and timelines
