Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician to join the Gauteng team. This is a senior, client-facing role combining advanced technical problem-solving with leadership responsibilities. You will manage field deployments, resolve escalated issues, and mentor junior technicians, while ensuring professional service delivery at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced on-site and remote support for servers, networks, VoIP, cloud, and workstations.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for junior/intermediate technicians.
  • Lead infrastructure rollouts (servers, firewalls, Hyper-V, wireless networks, Office 365, Odoo, VoIP).
  • Configure and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, and enterprise networking equipment.
  • Prepare technical documentation and deliver end-user training.
  • Mentor and support junior team members skills development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years IT support experience
  • Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, VMWare, networking (firewalls, VLANs, VPNs), and Microsoft 365.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Odoo ERP, and VoIP systems (advantageous).
  • Must own a reliable vehicle (essential) travel and fuel reimbursed via logs and timesheets.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong references: full background checks will be conducted.
