Assistant Finance Manager

 Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Assistant Finance Manager supports the Finance Manager in managing the financial activities of the organization. This role includes helping with budgeting, financial reporting, analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Assistant Finance Manager plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in audits, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:

    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports in compliance with accounting standards.
    • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in the development and monitoring of the annual budget.
    • Provide analysis and insights on budget variances and financial forecasts.
    • Work with department heads to prepare and manage their budgets.
  • Financial Analysis:

    • Perform financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost analysis, profitability analysis, and investment appraisal.
    • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management.
    • Identify trends and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Compliance and Audits:

    • Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
    • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit documentation.
    • Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of financial records for audit purposes.
  • Cash Management:

    • Assist in managing the organizations cash flow and liquidity to ensure sufficient funds for operations.
    • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, and support in managing working capital.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the finance team to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior finance staff as needed.
    • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems.
    • Assist in the implementation of new financial systems and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Education Preference: Bachelors or masters degree degree or higher in Finance or Accounting

Years of Experience: 5 Years+
