Category Manager - Watches & Accesories

 Job Description:

JOB PRIMARY and KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Responsible to build and execute a strategy to grow market share and profitability across a set of the Category and contribute to the growth of the business and team.
  • Responsible to execute a comprehensive online merchandising strategy and able to analyze category performance and react to company and industry sales trends; able to execute multiple projects and the ability to plan and organize.
  • Responsible to optimize storefronts and category pages to maximize conversion with understanding of the complexities and unique growth opportunities in ecommerce.
  • Responsible to attain sales and profit targets, achieved through new vendors, products and promotions etc.
  • Onboard local Sellers in to blink marketplace platform

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and develop the category.
  • Obtain new Sellers, maintaining and develop the relations with existing Sellers.
  • Source new and special products at the best cost, payment terms and return terms and margin
  • Maintain blink price leadership in all aspects.
  • Prepare weekly campaign in coordination with digital marketing and VP.
  • Manage inventory efficiently in coordination with accounting and finance, warehouse, and digital content.
  • Analyze and root cause analysis the slow moving and aging inventory.
  • Develop and implement category strategy to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
  • Build strong relationships with existing suppliers and execute negotiations to secure best pricing, sales programs, and promotional support.

  • Advance catalog expansion, including the identification of selection gaps, the prioritization of new item production, and the development of relationships with new, target suppliers.
  • Collaborate across functions to drive business goals (including Marketing, Sales, Business Development and Operations).
  • Analyze data to strategize profit growth opportunities for the category and for specific supplier partners.
  • Partner closely with merchants to develop and enhance our brands, site, and competitive positioning.
  • Analyze competitors marketing, selection and pricing and make strategic changes and product scouting as needed.
  • Maintain industry expertise; keep abreast of trends and new product ideas
  • Perform other duties as instructed which contribute to the effective management of the company.
  • Discover, develop, train and mentor the employees has a potential for promotion.
  • Deal with staff issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, as well as.
  • Observe and upholds extremely high safety and quality standards.
  • Attend and/or conduct seminars, training and workshops as per the company requirement.
  • Cultivate smooth interpersonal relationship with colleagues, management and customers.
  • Maintain profitability of category
  • Uploading weekly Arabia file with right cost margin , the data
  • Prepare all campaign products data
  • Ensure product content accuracy 100%
  • lead the translation tasks and work with CS closely
  • ensure the product category mapping is accurate 100%
  • build and manage cross sell & upsell products and category across Blink brands
  • Make sure all our inventory is live in the Apps
  • Achieving the monthly set target
  • Manage the content team
  • Ownership of the category P&L.
  • Monitor the margin monthly/weekly
  • Monitor the best seller price leadership vs competitions
  • Monitor competition promotions and insure price leadership for the best seller
  • Manager suppliers performance with 99% order fulfillment in max 2 business days
  • Analyse the category performance daily/weekly/ monthly etc

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fluency in English /Arabic writing, speaking and listening skills.
  • Excellent skills in Excel (Outstanding date manipulation skills, sorting, filtering, v-lookup, macros and other advanced excel functions)
  • Enthusiastic and team player with a positive attitude.
  • BS/MS degree in management or a related field.
  • With 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in management consulting, category management ecommerce or retail environment within UAE
  • Proven working experience in e-commerce category management.
  • Demonstrated experience building a business or delivering against aggressive targets & goals in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Senior presence; able to clearly and consistently work side-by-side with a broad range of seniorities and functions to achieve objectives.
  • Articulate, persuasive communicator with excellent negotiations and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to hit the ground running a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize projects, and to delegate tasks appropriately.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills dissect and determine root causes of problems, and implement solutions.
  • Experience in business and data analytics.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  • Process oriented, with a tireless focus on quality of output and throughput.
  • Passion for ecommerce is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Has commercial awareness.
  • Enthusiastic, team player and with a positive attitude.
