Logistics Manager

 Job Description:

  • Develops the Logistics functions strategic objectives, business plan, and budget.
  • Develops adequate policies and processes for the logistics and delivery function to maintain efficient operational excellence supporting the companys strategic goals.
  • Communicates the Logistics functions policies and processes to employees and ensures a clear understanding of these policies and processes.
  • Develops a manpower resource plan as per the annual volume plan.
  • Responsible for TMS configuration, training, tracking, and reporting.
  • Responsible for deploying systems for items receiving, dispatching and issuing, loading and unloading, inbound inspection, and outbound inspection.
  • Guides proper upkeep of loading gates and spaces (e.g., loading area, unloading area, and inspection area).
  • Develop and maintain a system for the continuous movement of goods
  • Reviews, analyses, and controls the minimum and maximum levels of required items with the coordination of WH Manager.
  • Plan, enhance and manage daily loading and offloading, routes, batches, and deliveries.
  • Direct, optimize, coordinate, and close full order cycle in SAP.
  • Keep track of delivery times, delivery staff, transport costs, and efficiency.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints regarding delivery.
  • Supervise, coach, and train the delivery workforce.
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.
  • Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Set and update delivery staff KPIs.
  • Comply with local laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
  • Produces periodic reports and statistics as required for top management.
  • Designs and ensures proper implementation of efficient scheduling logic for the movement of trucks.
  • Ensures optimal utilization of trucks, trucks volume, and manpower.
  • Coordinate with customer service function for any complaints during, before, or after delivery.
  • Captures feedback from customers on delivery, as per IT and Marketing teams feedback.
  • Ensures adherence to all Quality standards in receipt, handling, dispatch & delivery of goods.
  • Ensures safe working conditions.
  • Identifies training needs for the logistics team and coordinates with HR to organize training.
  • Ensures timely updates of the loaded and delivered stocks and their movement in SAP & TMS.
  • Conducts performance evaluation processes for the logistics function's employees to cover objective settings, progress performance meetings, and performance appraisals
  • Provides guidance to the employees of the logistics function to ensure an effective and efficient flow of work and ensure that all employees recognize their fundamental role.

  • Bachelors degree in supply chain, Business management, or equivalent.
  • Certification like APICS, Inventory Management, and Logistics Management
  • More than 10 years of experience in logistics function and e-commerce model; experience spread across distribution and familiarity with Kuwait areas.
  • Should have a Kuwaiti driving license.
