The Senior Sales Manager leads and manages all sales operations and oversees activities of the junior sales management team. The key objective of the Senior Sales Manager is to grow incremental and new sales for the business while simultaneously reducing customer turnover.
The Senior Sales Manager builds and manages all aspects of a sales department inclusive of leading management, account management, business analytics, and channel development. The Senior Sales Manager also works closely with the following departments; Customer Support, Finance, Marketing, and other sales teams for the purpose of ensuring the delivery of first-class delivery experience.
Job Tasks:-
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzing data from internal systems and external sources to identify opportunities to improve sales performance
- Identifying and contacting potential clients to determine their needs and assess their interest in the companys products or services
- Managing an existing sales team, providing ongoing coaching and feedback to help them increase their performance
- Ensuring that company products or services are represented accurately in advertising and marketing materials
- Developing strategies to increase market share by identifying new opportunities in existing markets or developing new markets
- Developing and implementing a strategic plan to achieve specific goals such as increasing revenues or improving customer satisfaction
- Negotiating contracts and managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, partners, and other external parties to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Providing leadership, training, and motivation to the sales team to help them meet their goals
- Communicating regularly with senior management about the status of projects and issues that could impact performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Provide accurate sales reporting and adhere to a reporting cadence
- Understand the industry and clients business objectives
- Communicate with c-level stakeholders, providing program feedback and strategic recommendations for additional program strategies, tactics, revisions and implementations based on observations of the programs people, processes, and product
Required Skills:-
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 12 years of experience in Oil & Petroleum Industry
- Detailed understanding of both business to end user & business to business channel selling
- Experience in the management, motivation and leadership of a technical sales force
- Understands and can describe the full spectrum of major products including custody/fund accounting/transfer agency/securities lending/ foreign exchange
- Appropriate custody/fund accounting/transfer agency/securities lending/ foreign exchange product knowledge
- Demonstrated success leading teams to leverage rigorous sales processes and methodologies to achieve success
- Analytical approach to sales management
