Asst. Technical/Maintenance Manager

Job Summary:
The Assistant Technical/Maintenance Manager will support the Technical/Maintenance Manager in overseeing and managing all aspects of the maintenance operations. This role involves ensuring that all machinery, equipment, and facilities are operating efficiently and safely. The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for assisting in the planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance tasks, while leading a team of technicians and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Technical/Maintenance Manager in developing and implementing maintenance strategies and procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Ensure that all maintenance work is carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and maintain records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities align with production schedules and operational needs.
- Assist in the management of maintenance budgets, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify and address potential issues.
- Support the Technical/Maintenance Manager in the procurement of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Participate in training and development programs for the maintenance team to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
- Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are strictly followed by the maintenance team.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations related to maintenance performance and activities.
- Act as a point of contact in the absence of the Technical/Maintenance Manager, addressing any urgent maintenance issues.
Education Preference: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
