Supply Chain Lead

Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Manager coordinates, organizes, and oversees all activities involved in the identification, acquisition, storage and distribution of the companys goods.
Reports directly into Region Supply Chain Manager with a matrix reporting to Country Operations Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Hires and trains departmental personnel. provide constructive feedback to aid with building a strong supply chain team
- Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy
- Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
- Establishes supply chain KPIs for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain.
- Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located at multiple warehouse locations within the company.
- Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
- Analyses current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the company.
- Develops policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implements subsequent changes to processes.
- Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing, distribution and cost optimization.
- Assesses the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; makes recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
- Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
- Maintains professional relationship with vendors as per companys Code of business conduct.
- Participates as an advisory member, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials to the PSL.
- Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by Region Supply Chain Manager as needed.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in business or related field required
- Previous working experience as a Supply Chain supervisor, lead or similar position with min 5 to 10 years
- Hands on experience with supply chain management software (such as SAP MM, Microsoft D365 or similar ERP system.
