Projects Finance Specialist
Our client is looking to hire a Projects Finance Specialist who has 7-9 years of experience in Project Management field with minimum of 3 years in a similar position/ responsibilities, as follows:
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Preparing monthly financial reports that monitor cash flow, identify trends in spending and flag possible accounting errors
- Monitoring budgets and identifying any variances between projected spending and actual spending to ensure that expenses do not exceed funds available
- Updating accounting records to reflect changes in revenue or expenses
- Coordinating with external auditors on issues such as annual audits, internal audits, fraud investigations, or forensic accounting
- Working with management to develop budgets and forecast future revenue and expenses
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding financial transactions
- Analyzing project costs and preparing estimates for new projects
- Reviewing financial statements and reports for accuracy and recommending any needed adjustments
- Calculating the cost of capital expenditures and assessing the appropriateness of investment decisions based on company policies regarding capital spending
Required Skills:
The candidate should be of the following technicalities and competencies:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, Information Systems, Engineering or any related field.
- Significant exposure to joint venture development of mega-projects, commercial & partnership Negotiations, financial modeling, economic evaluations, cash flow & variance analysis, project engineering.
- Strong computer skills and experience with relevant software programs.
- Experience with project management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
