Sales Associate

 Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:

    • Greet customers and offer assistance with product selection.
    • Respond to customer inquiries and provide product knowledge.
    • Ensure customers have a positive shopping experience.
  • Sales:

    • Achieve or exceed sales goals by understanding customer needs and offering solutions.
    • Promote current sales, promotions, and loyalty programs to customers.
    • Assist in the visual merchandising and display of products to enhance sales.
  • Product Knowledge:

    • Stay up-to-date with product features, benefits, and availability.
    • Offer recommendations and alternatives based on customer needs.
  • Inventory Management:

    • Assist in stocking and organizing merchandise on the sales floor.
    • Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock shortages to the management team.
    • Participate in inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
  • Cash Handling:

    • Process customer transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
    • Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments and issue receipts.
    • Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of the shift.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work effectively with team members to ensure a smooth operation.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Store Maintenance:

    • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, fitting rooms, and back stock area.
    • Follow store policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
