Job Description:
PURPOSE:
To manage the clearance and coordination of import food shipments (Sea/Road) from various factories and internal and external partners. Measuring and reporting of KPIs to management, Implement continuous improvement culture within the operations.
AREAS of RESPONSIBILITIES and related ACTIVITES:
- Documentation - Implement tools and processes to ensure continuous monitoring of Documentation from Various factories. Implement channels of escalations for timely follow-up and receipt of documents required for clearance. Ensuring zero waste cost (demurrages and penalties) due to documentation delays from factories.
- Clearance - Full knowledge of Inbound Clearance Process (Customs/Municipalities etc). Coordinate with the factories and forwarders for speedy and accurate clearance at Ports/Borders. Implementing Zero Waste ideology in the process.
- Container Movements Implement tools and process for efficient coordination between the assigned forwarders, Transporter and Warehouse (DCs). Ensure timely clearance of containers from the port reducing the turnaround time from Port clearance to warehouse Receipt.
- In Transit Visibility - Provide timely visibility to internal partners on the projected availability of product and in transit stocks to enable them in the commercial planning process
- KPI Management and Reporting - Periodic management and reporting of KPIs to management - Waste Levels, On-Time%, Container Utilization%, Various Cost/Kg Ratios etc.
- Continuous Improvement - Propose and put in place ideas or projects which can have short/long term impact on Cost, Quality, Service and Sustainability.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- SPECIFIC KNOWLEGE: Functional Customs and Municipality Clearance, Local Food Regulations and Requirements, Documentation Requirement, Technical SAP or any other ERP system, MS Excel Advance and PowerPoint.
- YEAR OF EXPERIENCE: 1-3 Years
