Junior Business Analyst
Job Description:
We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst to add additional depth to our growing Analyst team in a variety of areas - from Visualization and Storytelling to SQL, Data Modeling, and Data Warehousing. This role will work in close partnership with leadership, product management, operations, finance, and other technical teams to find opportunities to improve and expand our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting: Prepare clear reports and presentations to communicate findings to senior team members.
- Data Visualization: Design and develop key metrics, reports, and dashboards to drive insights and business decisions to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Analyze: Conduct daily analysis and proactively identify key business insights to assist departmental decision making.
- Analyze Business Challenges: Identify and resolve issues, design new processes and improve existing ones.
- Communication: Partner with leadership and collaborate with software engineers to implement data architecture and design, to support complex analysis.
- Document Development: Create and maintain process flows, best practices, and task execution documents.
Day-to-Day Tasks:
- Daily Marketing KPI review
- Custom Audience list pulls for Marketing
- APM settings - create new configurations per defined
- Maintain Affiliate Mapping table
- Owning the Anura weekly pull and communicate good/poor sources appropriately
- Daily Sales KPI review + TYP KPI review
- Check CEE, Thumbtack by 9 AM MST, report issue, communicate to EDS to troubleshoot
- Creating JIRA tickets related to buyer quality data. This includes tickets for new buyers and tickets for existing buyers with data ingestion issues.
- Maintaining existing Quality dashboards and creating new dashboards for new buyers (insurance, mortgage, and home services)
- Working with AMs to forecast future volume/performance based upon historical data
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-2 years in a junior analyst role
- Education: Bachelors degree in business management or related degree
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, financial modeling, data analysis). Experience with PowerBI or similar type of data visualization tool.
- Critical Thinking: Ability to think analytically and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships
- Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
