The Role

Our client is seeking a qualified accountant with prior experience overseeing Jersey entities within a private equity environment. The successful candidate will join the Financial Control team and report to the Senior Financial Control Manager in the London office

This is a senior role within the Finance team, with full responsibility for the financial control and reporting of a portfolio of legal entities across Jersey and Luxembourg. The role requires strong oversight of accounting, financial reporting, audit, and tax compliance matters, while ensuring the delivery of accurate, high-quality, and timely financial information across both jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider finance, fund accounting, tax, legal, and corporate governance teams across Triton. The role will have a strong focus on private equity funds, with additional exposure to debt funds, and would benefit from experience in carried interest and co-investment structures.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong technical accounting capability, with experience applying judgement across a broad and complex portfolio of legal entities, asset holdings, and investment structures.
  • Advanced systems aptitude, with the ability to work effectively across finance platforms, improve reporting outputs, and strengthen the overall control environment.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, including the ability to work through complex scenarios, valuations, forecasts, and entity-level impacts to deliver excellent reporting to stakeholders.
  • A proactive focus on operational improvement, with the ability to identify inefficiencies, streamline complex processes, and implement more scalable ways of working.
  • Excellent audit experience, including leading complex audits, resolving technical issues efficiently, and maintaining high standards of audit readiness and supporting documentation.
  • Proven line management experience, with responsibility for overseeing workload, setting standards, and supporting the development of junior team members.
  • Lead the preparation and review of audited financial statements for limited companies and complex groups under IFRS.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements for Luxembourg SARLs under local GAAP.
  • Maintain oversight of the day-to-day bookkeeping for General Partner activities, ensuring accuracy and appropriate control.
  • Review and ensure the correct accounting treatment for carried interest and co-investment investments, including cost versus fair value considerations.
  • Own and supervise month-end close processes for General Partners and other management entities.
  • Ensure monthly income statement and balance sheet reconciliations are completed, reviewed, and fully substantiated.
  • Lead cash flow forecasting and support the effective treasury management of the company's cash reserves.
  • Manage the annual audit process for entities within remit, including coordination with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure local corporation tax returns are accurate, reviewed appropriately, and filed on a timely basis.
  • Prepare, review, and present financial information to local Boards of Directors.
  • Play a key role in the annual planning cycle and in regular reporting of performance against plan to senior management.
  • Ensure all relevant vehicles operate in line with internal legal and structural agreements.
  • Build strong working relationships across teams and offices to ensure timely information sharing and the accurate treatment of accruals, recharges, and intercompany balances.
