Trust Officer

 Job Description:


The individual will work closely with peers, managers and directors, as well as our clients and intermediaries. The role requires attention to detail, a positive professional attitude and an ability to work collaboratively. An aptitude for juggling changing priorities, an enquiring mind and a sense of humour are also desirable.

Duties and responsibilities will include;
  • Delivering efficient, considered and diligent management of a portfolio of high net-worth clients
  • Developing an in-depth understanding of a designated client portfolio to ensure a personalised service is provided
  • Assisting the relevant trust director with the on-boarding of new clients
  • Meeting clients and their advisors, with the appropriate lead director, either in Jersey or further afield
  • Being a proactive team player
  • Ensuring that all activities undertaken reflect and respect our ethical charter
  • Effectively delegating and training of others, including providing timely and constructive feedback to support the development of junior members of the trust team
Qualifications and skills
  • Must have Entitled for Work status i.e. minimum of 5 years residency in Jersey
  • A minimum of 4 years relevant industry experience in the trust sector
  • An excellent standard of written, IT and communication skills
  • A detailed and wide ranging knowledge and experience of administering a variety of offshore structures and asset classes/types
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment as part of a small, busy team
  • Initiative, adaptability, creativity
  • Finalising or obtained the STEP Diploma in Offshore Trust Management and/or ICSA
  • Diploma/professional in Offshore Finance and Administration
