Senior Associate Corporate & Commercial

 Job Description:

The successful candidate will give our clients clear and focused advice and will be expected to lead the management of files and work with the wider team on larger-scale transactions, with a view to taking charge of such transactions with further experience. The candidate will also play a material role in our business-development activities. In particular, the candidate will need to:

  • take responsibility for managing files and transactions,
  • including resolving issues that arise during transactions
  • demonstrate initiative in identifying key issues
  • work collaboratively with other members of the team
  • accept assignments delegated from Partners and report
  • efficiently to the Partners as required
  • give technically accurate advice to clients
  • demonstrate good commercial awareness relevant to
  • our clients differing objectives and needs
  • work in compliance with the firms procedures, including
  • (without limitation) anti-money laundering rules and
  • prompt and accurate time-recording
  • communicate clearly and efficiently with clients on all
  • aspects of a matter, particularly with regard to the
  • scope of work, the anticipated costs and disbursements, progress during the matter and any issues that arise (or may arise)
