Accountant - Funds - P/Q

Salary £45,000 + 25% bonus 

Position Summary

Our client are looking for a part/newly qualified Accountant to work within their Jersey office.

The main areas of responsibilities will be review of financial information prepared by fund administrators and other fund related tasks.

This is a role which the right individual has the opportunity to develop over time. There are a number of accounting and other functions relating to the structure which can be incorporated within this role.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Review of quarterly and annual financial information for a number of fund entities (structured as Limited Partnerships) including schedule of investments, financial statements and capital accounts prepared by fund administrators liaise with administrators over treatment of certain investment transactions

  • prepare weekly reports summarizing transactions that have occurred

  • prepare weekly reports analyzing current cash position, upcoming deals and any other cash requirements

  • perform checks on capital call and distribution workings prepared by administrators

  • deal with ad-hoc queries from administrators and investors

  • assist in dealings with auditors to ensure smooth audit process

  • review of General Partner company financial information prepared by administrators

  • liaise with other members of the Operations team as and when required

  • maintain internal financial controls and procedures

  • perform other related duties as assigned or requested

  • willingness to travel between locations, primarily to the Geneva and London offices

Education and Experience

The role would suit an individual who is studying or recently achieved an accounting qualification or has been qualified for up to 3 years.

The candidate would benefit from experience working within an audit firm or fund administrator.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
