Compliance Monitoring Manager

 Job Description:

Salary  £80,000 + 

The Compliance Monitoring Manager is a key position within the Global R&C function, reporting directly to the Head of Regulatory Oversight.

Leading and overseeing a multi-jurisdictional team circa 5  the role-holder is responsible primarily for development and delivery of the function's compliance monitoring programme (CMP).

The role holder will work closely with the R&C leadership team and other key stakeholders to ensure that the annual CMP is developed, scoped and executed under the firm's risk-based approach, and actively targets those areas, jurisdictions and business units that have been assessed to present the highest levels of regulatory risk to the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and approval of annual CMP in consultation with R&C leadership team and other key business stakeholders
  • Management of the policy and procedure covering Compliance Monitoring Programme
  • Lead and oversee the execution of the agreed CMP, including documenting and reporting of CMP testing
  • Management of a range of compliance monitoring linked logs and databases, all of which focus on ensuring that excellent levels of data are being recorded and actions being taken as appropriate
  • Determine issues arising from the Compliance Monitoring Programme for escalation to relevant stakeholders and boards
  • Drive analysis of testing results to identify trends to support the business in risk mitigation
  • Assist with the analysis of legal and regulatory changes in the relevant jurisdiction
  • Drive project related initiatives, all of which geared toward delivering process improvements

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Previous experience of managing people to inspire, lead and develop a high performing team
  • Encourage a culture that values and supports diverse ideas and styles
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar roles with a strong record of performance
  • Will ideally hold a relevant professional qualification
  • A self-starter with ability to make decisions and use own initiative within the scope of regulatory requirements, policy and procedures
  • A strong and clear communicator who is able to develop and maintain strong and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
