Associate Director Corporate Services

As a trusted adviser, you will build and maintain strong client relationships, provide expert guidance on complex and sensitive matters, and deliver innovative solutions that help clients achieve their objectives. You will play a pivotal role in developing new business opportunities, enhancing our market profile, and leading a high-performing team.

What You'll Be Doing
Client Relationship Leadership
- Lead and manage a portfolio of complex corporate client relationships, delivering exceptional service and expert advice.
- Act as a trusted adviser to clients, developing long-term partnerships and a deep understanding of their business needs.
- Navigate complex challenges, assessing financial, regulatory, and reputational risks while implementing practical and innovative solutions.
- Ensure consistently high standards of client service through effective delegation, oversight, and quality control.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends, sharing knowledge across the team.
- Act as a B Signatory and uphold the highest standards of governance and professionalism.
Business Growth & Market Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding both existing client relationships and new intermediary networks.
- Develop and enhance service offerings that complement and strengthen the firm's existing capabilities.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities, accurately recording activity and progress within Plainsail.
- Provide regular reporting on business development performance, pipeline activity, and revenue generation.
- Establish yourself as a recognised industry expert through thought leadership, networking, and publishing insightful content.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Contribute to the annual target-setting process and help shape strategic growth objectives.
- Translate financial goals into clear team and individual performance targets.
- Take ownership of billing performance, utilisation, and delivery against revenue objectives.
- Monitor team time recording and ensure billing practices are accurate, compliant, and commercially effective.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Maintain the highest standards of regulatory compliance and risk management.
- Ensure adherence to Trust Company Business regulations, Anti-Money Laundering requirements, and internal policies and procedures.
- Liaise with the Client Acceptance & Risk Committee on relevant matters and contribute to a culture of strong governance.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a talented team, creating an environment where people can thrive and perform at their best.
- Provide technical guidance and serve as a key escalation point for client and team queries.
- Set ambitious performance objectives, conduct regular development conversations, and support career progression.
- Play a central role in developing trainees through structured programmes, mentoring, and meaningful feedback.
- Partner with colleagues across the business to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
What You'll Bring
- A degree-level education is preferred.
- A relevant professional qualification in Corporate Governance, Law, Accounting, or a related discipline (such as LLB, ACA, CGIUKI/ICSA, or equivalent).
- Significant experience in a senior corporate services, governance, legal, or fiduciary services environment.
- Strong knowledge of Trust Company Business regulations, corporate governance, and Anti-Money Laundering requirements.
- A proven track record of developing and growing client relationships while delivering against commercial objectives.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to combine technical expertise with strategic thinking and commercial awareness.
- Experience leading, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
