They advise on significant offshore disputes, many of which span multiple jurisdictions, securing successful outcomes for clients and often contributing to the development of the law. They also advise on large and complex cross-border restructurings and insolvencies. The demanding nature of the work and client base requires teams to provide pragmatic and, where appropriate, creative solutions to complex legal challenges.

About the Role

They are growing a Disputes team and are seeking an Associate to join them. As an Associate, you will be an effective and collaborative team player who understands the high standards clients expect and can work flexibly to meet changing priorities and deadlines. You will work closely with and support senior team members to deliver outstanding client service.

You will be involved in a broad range of cross-border litigation and insolvency matters, including:

  • Fraud investigations
  • Asset tracing
  • Shareholder and corporate disputes
  • Contentious trust and probate matters
  • Restructuring and insolvency work
  • Contentious regulatory advisory matters

You will support the partner-led Disputes team by:

  • Drafting concise, clear documents in plain language
  • Conducting efficient legal research and preparing comprehensive, accurate and practical legal advice
  • Producing high-quality legal analysis on complex legal and factual issues
  • Taking effective notes and accurately recording instructions
  • Preparing concise client correspondence and reports in plain language
  • Assisting with client advice under the guidance of Partners and senior lawyers
  • Writing and communicating persuasively
  • Managing competing priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Supporting senior lawyers with business development activities where appropriate

What You Need

  • Newly qualified solicitor to 3 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in a similar role
  • Admitted to practise in England & Wales
  • A flexible mindset with a proven ability to adapt and navigate a variety of challenges
