Manager, Fund Accounting

 Job Description:

Our client's Fund Accounting team are primarily responsible for all aspects of day-to-day accounting for one or more assigned structures.

Reporting to the Senior Manager you will lead the team responsible for accounting client service delivery for a portfolio of client structures.

Your focus

  • Take ownership of client relationships within the team and support as a subject matter expert and be an accessible point of escalation
  • Own the preparation of financial and bookkeeping templates
  • Attend client meetings and present deliverables, building and positive relationship with the client and associated third parties
  • Plan and timetable team resource to ensure client service delivery is aligned to the Client Service Charter and that the team have clarity around their priorities and goals
  • Agree, measure, and report on performance against benchmarks and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

Your experience

  • Strong academics with an appropriate professional qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Excellent knowledge of funds with strong technical knowledge of FRS, IFRS and US GAAP
  • Experienced in building effective teams that achieve common goals
  • Can apply business insights to improve the client service provision and advance the organisation
  • Drive engagement by fostering an environment where people are motivated to help the company achieve its objective
  • Able to manage conflict situations confidently and discreetly, pushing back on clients in the right way and seeking senior support where necessary
