Job Summary:
As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all finished products and components meet stringent quality, functional, and safety specifications. This involves setting up test equipment, troubleshooting failures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to continuously improve product reliability and yield.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hands-on testing across various levels, from factory inspections to comprehensive Integrated Systems Testing.
- Perform and witness critical tests on high/low voltage switchgear, UPS systems, backup generators, and Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
- Identify, document, and meticulously track defects ("punch list" items) until their resolution, ensuring all issues (e.g., broken lights, leaky pipes, UPS errors) are fully addressed.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, energy efficiency analyses, and final handover documentation.
- Thoroughly review all test data and documents prior to customer final acceptance.
- Reject unapproved modifications to testing procedures, software parameters, or limits made by production operators or supervisors.
- Implement "Hold" or "Quarantine" status on entire batches of components or finished goods suspected of failing quality or functional tests.
- Issue formal Corrective Action Requests (CAR) to production or sourcing teams when component defects are traced back to assembly or supplier issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Familiarity with various test instruments.
- Basic knowledge of automated test software or programming (e.g., LabVIEW, Python, PLC, or C++) is highly advantageous.
- Understanding of manufacturing quality tools (e.g., 5Why, Fishbone diagram, FMEA, SPC).
