Finance Director

 Job Description:

The Finance Director will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations, strategy, and planning. This role requires a visionary leader to drive financial performance, manage risk, and ensure the company's financial health and compliance. The Finance Director will provide strategic financial guidance to support business objectives and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company's overall business objectives.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and tax functions.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational realities.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis, and insights to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and investment portfolios to optimize financial resources.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
  • Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of new projects, investments, and business initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Finance Director, Head of Finance).
  • Proven track record of strategic financial planning, risk management, and driving financial performance in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and tax laws.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make sound financial decisions.
