Our client is a globally recognized leader in high-performance computing hardware, founded in 1995, specializing in graphics cards, motherboards, gaming PCs, laptops, and storage solutions.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Country Manager to lead our client's operations in South Korea and drive long-term market expansion. Reporting directly to the Global Vice President of Sales, this critical role is responsible for leading and executing the overall business strategy in South Korea. The Country Manager will oversee sales growth, channel development, partner management, market expansion, and brand positioning across the Korean market.
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience within the Korean PC hardware industry, a strong network among distributors, retailers, e-commerce platforms, and system integrators, and a proven track record of building profitable businesses for leading technology brands.
Key Responsibilities
Business Leadership
- Develop and execute the overall business strategy for South Korea.
- Achieve annual revenue, profitability, and market share targets.
- Build and manage a sustainable business growth plan for the Korean market.
- Serve as the key representative of the company in Korea.
Sales & Channel Development
- Lead nationwide sales activities across all channels.
- Develop and manage relationships with distributors, retailers, e-commerce platforms, and system integrators.
- Expand market coverage and identify new business opportunities.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and strategic partnerships.
Market Expansion & Brand Building
- Develop go-to-market strategies for graphics cards, motherboards, gaming products, and future product categories.
- Drive market penetration and brand awareness.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activities, pricing, and consumer demand.
- Work closely with the marketing team to execute local campaigns and events.
Strategic Account Management
- Build executive-level relationships with key partners and customers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term business collaboration.
- Manage major commercial negotiations and conflict resolution.
Business Planning & Reporting
- Prepare sales forecasts, market intelligence reports, and business reviews.
- Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to the Global VP of Sales.
- Ensure achievement of quarterly and annual business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the PC hardware, consumer electronics, or IT industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role.
- Deep understanding of the South Korean PC hardware ecosystem.
- Proven success in managing national sales operations and channel networks.
- Strong relationships with major Korean distributors, retailers, e-commerce platforms, and system integrators.
- Demonstrated experience in graphics cards, motherboards, gaming hardware, PC components, or related categories.
- Strong commercial negotiation and business development skills.
- Native-level Korean and fluent English communication skills.
