Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the complete lifecycle of a major construction project, from pre-construction to handover. This role is accountable for project performance across safety, environmental compliance, quality, programme, cost, and contractual obligations. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure project delivery safely, on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall planning, execution and delivery of the assigned construction project.
  • Manage project teams comprising project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
  • Develop and implement project execution plans, construction methodologies, resource strategies and delivery programmes.
  • Monitor project progress, milestones, deliverables and contractual obligations.
  • Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental and project-specific requirements.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure compliance with specifications, standards and client expectations.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, procurement, cost control, contract administration and variation management.
  • Identify and mitigate project, commercial, technical, programme and operational risks.
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, authorities, utility agencies and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure statutory approvals, permits, inspections and authority requirements are obtained on time.
  • Provide regular reporting on safety, quality, programme, cost, risks and overall project performance.
  • Lead testing, commissioning, handover, defect management and project closeout activities.
  • Support tender reviews, constructability assessments and pre-construction planning where required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Building or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 15–20 years of relevant construction experience, including significant experience in project management and senior site leadership.
  • Proven track record of delivering at least two large-scale construction projects with individual contract values above S$300 million.
  • Experience delivering major building, mixed-use, institutional, healthcare, commercial, industrial or infrastructure developments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project controls, contract administration, procurement, risk management and cost management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore construction regulations, authority requirements and statutory approval processes.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-oriented, proactive and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
