Job Description:
Overview
Our client is a local Malaysian F&B brand. We are seeking a strategic CEO with full responsibility for the company's P&L and overall performance, leading the company through a period of transformation. Our mission is to restore profitability, revitalize the brand, and ensure long-term sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership and Transformation Management:
- Develop and execute a robust business transformation strategy to ensure the company returns to profitability within the agreed timeframe.
- Conduct comprehensive business reviews to diagnose issues, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective action plans.
- Develop a strategic vision and overall brand plan to ensure all departments align towards common goals.
2. Financial and Commercial Responsibilities:
- Have full P&L responsibility for the entire business. Drive initiatives to maximize revenue, control costs, and improve EBITDA margins.
- Analyze financial and operational data, provide accurate business performance updates to the Board, and propose data-driven improvement plans.
- Identify and implement cost-effective measures across the entire value chain without compromising product quality or customer experience.
3. Operational Excellence:
- Oversee all daily operations to ensure exceptional quality, service, safety, and cleanliness.
- Streamline and strengthen standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency, consistency, and compliance.
- Leverage technology and operational toolkits to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
4. Team Leadership and Organizational Development:
- Lead, coach, and motivate the team to foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and high performance.
- Build and develop a strong leadership team to provide clear direction and support to all functional leaders.
- Implement talent development programs to reduce employee turnover and develop future leaders.
5. Brand, Marketing, and Customer Experience:
- Revitalize the brand in the Malaysian market, ensuring brand consistency and strengthening its competitive position.
- Develop and execute effective marketing and promotional programs to increase customer traffic, increase average transaction value, and foster loyalty.
6. Store Development and Business Growth:
- Evaluate and optimize the existing store portfolio.
- Lead the strategic expansion plan for new stores, managing the end-to-end process from store acquisition to project execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- At least 10 years of senior leadership experience, including at least 5 years as CEO, regional director, or general manager in the fast food, restaurant, or retail industries.
- Proven track record of successfully turning around businesses and achieving profitability.
- Deep expertise in operational excellence, cost efficiency, and franchise management preferred.
- Ability to build, lead, and motivate large teams and foster a resilient, high-performance culture.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
