Job Description: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Company: Bursa Malaysia Main Market Listed Property Developer
Portfolio Scale: ~RM 1 Billion GDV (Mixed-Use Developments & Townships)
Team Size: 200+ Employees nationwide
Reports To: Group CEO
Role Purpose: The CEO will provide ultimate strategic, financial, and operational leadership. You will drive the monetization of a nationwide land bank, steer the RM 1 Billion GDV pipeline, champion project management excellence, and maximize shareholder value while upholding strict public listed company (PLC) governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Formulate and execute nationwide land bank strategies, product positioning, and diversification across macroeconomic cycles.
- Financial & Capital Oversight: Assume full P&L accountability. Lead capital allocation, corporate financing, joint ventures, and M&A activities to optimize gearing ratios.
- Technical & Project Excellence: Drive rigid project management excellence and value engineering across all developments. Intervene in the technical lifecycle to eliminate operational leakages, control construction costs, and aggressively protect the project bottom line to deliver targeted profits.
- Governance & Investor Relations: Act as the primary face of the company to shareholders, institutional investors, and the media. Ensure total compliance with Bursa Malaysia and Securities Commission requirements.
- Organizational Leadership: Inspire and manage a 200+ workforce. Mentor the C-suite and build a high-performance, execution-driven corporate culture.
- Stakeholder Diplomacy: Cultivate high-level relationships with state governments, local councils, and industry bodies to expedite project ecosystems.
Requirements
- Experience: 15+ years in Malaysian property development, including 5+ years as a CEO or C-level executive within a Bursa Malaysia PLC environment. Strong technical grounding in project delivery is highly valued.
- Track Record: Proven success delivering multi-state mixed developments or townships with an aggregate GDV nearing or exceeding RM 1 Billion, with a demonstrated history of tight cost control and leakage reduction.
- Leadership Scale: Capability to lead decentralized, multi-disciplinary teams of 200+ headcount.
- Expertise: Experience with managing accounting, sales & marketing, construction cost management, and Malaysian housing regulations (HDA, Strata Title Act).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Real Estate, Finance, or Business. An MBA is highly advantageous.
