General Manager (GM) Toy & Pop Culture Entertainment Business

 Job Description:

Overview:
We are recruiting a high energy, creative and visionary General Manager to spearhead the launch and growth of a toy & pop culture entertainment studio . This is a rare opportunity to co-own and build a brand from the ground up, working closely with stakeholders to bring a creative vision to life, building communities and delivering magical memories.


Key Responsibilities:

Spearheading Business Growth & Strategy:

Execute a strategic roadmap to scale the toy business e, identifying target markets and growth opportunities.

Drive marketing initiatives with primary focus online.

Seek collaborative partnership and licensing with marketing brands and agencies to craft compelling campaigns and establish the brand's presence in the toy market.


Product Development:

Refine and Develop existing creative blueprints to bring a variety of action figure toylines to fruition.

Work with artistes to apply innovation and creative design to enhance products with a view towards sustainability and scalability.

Develop working relationships with global pool of artists, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, sustainable products.

Develop fresh, engaging pipeline of toylines and tabletop games


Oversight on Manufacturing Process:

Co-ordinate with manufacturers closely on the tooling and manufacturing process

Work with factories on manufacturing and QC

Provide guidance on supply chain and logistics management


Provide Leadership on Operations:

Support recruitment and associate motivation

Optimise costs, and provide budgets where needed to achieve market goals

Oversee end-to-end operations, ensuring efficient processes


Stakeholder Communication, Collaboration and Visioning:

Work closely with principals to align on vision, goals, and market strategies while keeping them updated on progress.


Passion for Toys:

Ultimately, demonstrate a genuine passion for the pop culture industry, bringing creativity and enthusiasm to create fresh industry offerings that enhance the play experience.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven track record in business management, preferably in a startup, Toy, or creative industry. Understanding of the industry with established networks both on distribution and supply chain.
  • Design Expertise: acute sense of design and observation within the industry, with experience in digital and 3d programs (zbrush, cad etc)
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities; adept at managing diverse teams and projects.
  • Personal Traits: A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a deep interest in toys and pop culture. Growth mindset, high motivation.
