About the Opportunity:

This is your chance to be a trailblazer in the AI and blockchain revolution. As Counsel, APAC Expansion, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's expansion strategy across the APAC region. Reporting directly to the Head of Legal-APAC, you will be the legal architect behind our entry into new markets, ensuring that we grow responsibly and sustainably. You’ll dive deep into local regulations, assess risks, and craft strategies that align with our mission to bring blockchain and AI-driven solutions to the world.

In this role, you will:

1. Champion Market Entry: Provide strategic legal advice on financial regulations, data protection, labor & employment, consumer protection, and more to ensure seamless market entry.

2. Lead with Precision: Manage local counsel across multiple jurisdictions, delivering clear, actionable insights that drive decision-making while optimizing costs.

3. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with expansion, market operations, product, compliance, and government relations teams to ensure all legal, regulatory, and operational requirements are met.

4. Drive Compliance: Secure necessary licenses, permits, and registrations, and ensure jurisdiction-specific product initiatives are legally vetted.

5. Build Trust: Work closely with Trust & Safety teams to ensure sustainable growth and maintain the company’s reputation as a leader in AI and blockchain innovation.

6. Craft Impactful Messaging: Ensure consistent, accurate, and compelling communication to stakeholders, authorities, and the public.

About You:

1. You’re not just a lawyer--you’re a visionary with a passion for technology and a knack for solving complex problems. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are excited by the challenge of shaping the future of AI and blockchain. Here’s what we’re looking for:

2. Experience: 5+ years of post-law school experience, with a background in BigLaw or fast-paced startups.

3. Expertise: Proven track record in handling multi-jurisdictional legal challenges and supporting international growth plans.

4. Qualifications: Excellent academic credentials and eligibility to practice law in your jurisdiction (preference for Singapore).

5. Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex legal concepts into clear, actionable insights.

6. Tech-Savvy: A demonstrated interest in blockchain technology, Web3, cryptocurrency, and digital assets is a plus.

7. Languages: Fluency in English is required.

8. Mindset: A collaborative, curious, and adaptable attitude, with a high level of integrity and a passion for innovation.
