Job Summary
The Senior Manager - Business Development, Acquisition & Projects will be a pivotal leader responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing new land and development opportunities, as well as driving the strategic planning and execution of property projects. This role requires a highly experienced and strategic professional with a strong understanding of the property market, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to manage complex projects from acquisition through to development.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and acquire new land parcels and development opportunities that align with the company's strategic growth objectives and financial targets.
- Conduct comprehensive market research, feasibility studies, and financial analysis to assess the viability and profitability of potential projects.
- Lead due diligence processes for potential acquisitions, including legal, technical, and environmental assessments.
- Develop and present compelling business cases, proposals, and acquisition strategies to senior management and the investment committee.
- Negotiate terms and conditions for land acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Drive the strategic planning and conceptualization of new property developments, ensuring market relevance and optimal product mix.
- Oversee project initiation, planning, and coordination with internal departments (e.g., development, finance, legal, sales) and external consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with landowners, government agencies, consultants, and other key stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of property market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform business development and acquisition strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Property Development, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; a Master's Degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in business development, land acquisition, or project management within the property development industry.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying, acquiring, and managing significant property development projects.
- Strong understanding of property market dynamics, planning regulations, and development processes.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Excellent financial modeling, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach and a proven ability to drive complex deals.
