Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Resident Architect to oversee the architectural works of a data centre project in Johor Bahru. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in industrial, factory, or server room construction, and will be responsible for ensuring the project meets the highest standards of design, quality, and compliance.

This role requires a hands-on professional with strong site supervision skills, able to manage contractors, coordinate with consultants, and support the PMC team in delivering a mission-critical project on time.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor all architectural works on-site to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Review design and construction details to ensure practicality and functionality for a data centre environment.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and the PMC team to resolve design and construction issues.
Ensure high-quality workmanship, materials, and finishes, particularly for industrial-grade environments.
Prepare daily/weekly site reports and maintain accurate records of progress and issues.
Participate in site meetings, inspections, and testing/commissioning activities.
Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Degree in Architecture or equivalent, with professional registration preferred.
Minimum 5 years of relevant site experience, with exposure to factories, server rooms, or data centres.
Strong knowledge of architectural detailing, industrial building standards, and compliance requirements.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to work 6 days per week on-site in Johor Bahru.
Hands-on, detail-oriented, and adaptable in fast-track project environments.
